A slice of Indian mythology

The ten avatars of Vishnu. Lovely depiction, beautifully illustrated. I'm surprised these weren't as popular as Asterix & Tintin in my childhood, though I've read quite a few of them myself.

Amar Chitra Katha serves a very useful role as a simple introduction to Indian mythology -- accessible in a way dense translations are not.

Dasha Avatar

Dasha Avatar mean 10 important incarnation of lord visnu. As such we cannot count how many incarnation he tooks but primarily we say dasa avatar.

I am grateful to amar chitra katha founder whose books inspired me when i was child and now presented my son who is 10yrs old to read. He feels very good while reading these books and also gets some knowledge and clarifies his doubts also.

A must to read books. Please encourage all your kids go through books and you too also..

Very good read!

Amar Chitra Katha's Dashavatara is a very enjoyable read! The fish that grows huge is nicely shown. Vamana's story has shown Bali as an honorable king - the way he should be shown. His vanity turning to humility cannot be shown better.
Highly recommended for children!
It's tough to find this in shops, I thank FlipKart for enabling me to purchase it!

One of the Best Amar Chitra Katha books on Glorious Hindu History (not just mythology)!

I grew up with this book during my childhood days. Even as an adult when I think about Dasha Avatar, I fondly think of this book; it made such an impact during my young days! 10 stories in one on the 10 Avatars of Vishnu. It is based on the puranas - as usual Amar Chitra Katha delivers excellently.
