About the Author
Ira Mukhoty is an Indian author who is mainly known for her books, Heroines: Powerful Indian Women of Myth and History and Daughters of the Sun: Empresses, Queens, and Begums of the Mughal Empire. During her stay in Delhi, she started to garner an interest in mythology and history, especially their relevance to the status of women in the Indian society. She completed her graduation in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge. She is currently working on a biography of the Mughal Emperor, Akbar.
