Handy reference book
Its a good book to pop in your camera bag. But dont expect too much out of it in terms of pure knowledge when it comes to that. Being a field guide, the matter is concise and to the point.
I'd recommend buying David's book on D7000 for a thorough understanding of all the settings and the other bells and whistles that your D7000 brings along.
