About S.S. Bhavikatti

S.S. Bhavikatti is a renowned academician and the chairperson of Indian Concrete Institute, Karnataka.

Apart from this book, S.S. Bhavikatti has also authored and co authored several other books that includes Teaching and Techniques of Technical Education, Finite Element Analysis, Problems & Solutions in Engineering Mechanics, Mechanics of Solids, Structural optimisation using sequential linear programming, Design of Steel Structures By Limit State Method As Per Is: 800 2007, Engineering Mechanics, and Strength of Materials. He has also authored various technical research documents for international as well as national conferences and journals.

S.S. Bhavikatti acquired his BE degree in civil engineering from the BVB College of Engineering and Technology, Hubli. He holds his Masters of Engineering in the discipline of Structural Engineering from the esteemed University of Roorkee, in the year 1967. He also holds a doctorate degree from the well known IIT of Delhi for his research work on the Quality Improvement Programme in the year 1977 respectively. He once worked as the head of department for the civil engineering department in the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka and later went to serve as the department head of civil engineering in the S.D.M. College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad.
