The seven kinds of phrases, their type, nature, and functions as well as the functions of the corresponding words (the parts of speech) have been included and discussed side by side. It shows how different clauses build up Simple, Compound, and Complex sentences; as well as how the Moods, and the manner of expression of Verbs, define another classification of sentence which is based on functions.
