  • Description
Tino de Sas short stories are like mini movie scripts, as he dives straight into the heart of the dilemma. He plots his narrative deftly and his characters are vivid enough to be your neighbours or relatives... Shobhaa De, Author, Columnist Tino de Sas stories throb with life. The characters are so familiar that you feel you would meet them any moment, in the market, in the office or in your home. A rare talent. Anand Neelakantan, Author, Screenwriter Tino de Sas stories wrap up a range of different expe- riences in a light, unassuming and very readable prose. Amitabha Bagchi, Author Each of these eleven stories is a polished gem that speaks to the reader in ways one different from the other. many of them have a surprising little twist to offer in the end, and all are told with subtel wit. The wide-ranging themes that they encompass include incest, murder, suicide and homosexuality. But they also include love and laughter, hope and history re-imagined.

    • Tino de Sa grew up a thousand miles away from his ancestral island-village of Divar, Goa, in the dusty little central Indian railway town of Bhusaval, where his father ran a picture house and, off and on, was Mayor. He took degrees at St. Xaviers College in Bombay and then, as a Mason Fellow, at Harvard in the USA. He joined the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1980. His varied assignments included a stint with the United Nations, and culminated in his being one of the longest serving Chief Secretaries of Madhya Pradesh. He is the winner of a first prize in the Times of India national short story competition. This is his first published collection of short stories. Tino de Sa is the nom de plume of Anthony de Sa.

    Slightly disappointed

This is a wonderful book really 💚💚 but main thing is that the book has no connection with Mahabharata, this is so disappointing ☹ I bought this only by looking at the name Draupadi and haven't checked the full title of the cover 😅😅😅 okay guys don't be fooled by it's name like me 😅 This is not our Empress Draupadi.....but trust me the stories are just woow 🤩 especially ''One and a Half love story'' and "Daisy's Gift" 💚💚💚
