Doha Darpan's author (poet) Om Nilambar was born in Bhuwar village of Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. His father Late Shri Jagannath Pandey was a teacher in Bihar state. He was a book lover, which the writer also benefited from. Om Nilambar had the privilege of reading religious, political and social books and magazines since childhood. The author's mother Shri Mati Shiv Dulari Pandey was a woman of religious nature. Apart from household work, his daily routine consists of worship, bhajan-kirtan and remembering God. All these things have also had an impact on the writer. The author is currently working as a teacher in Mathaniya Parishad School of Maharaj Ganj district of Uttar Pradesh. Four books of the author have been published so far, which are as follows - 'Chalo Mere Saathi Akele Akele', 'Aklu Bandar', 'Saral Geeta' and 'Hamara Purakhe'.
