Dost (Marathi, Paperback, Kale V. Pu.)
The book Dost covers the stories of different characters by the famous Marathi author V. P. Kale. The book reflects Kale's mastery and skill in mixing philosophy, optimism, power, and energy in his simple way of narration. The stories are about people of different types, people who value their own as well as their family's pride. These are narrow minded and stubborn people who know their limits and prefer to live within that. The stories tell about their triumph over as well as surrender to a situation. The very same people do not hesitate to rebel against the routine of their own lives. The author describes their joys and sorrows, their dreams as well as their problems that can be found everywhere. Kale's narrations are such that incidents similar to what are described in his stories could have happened in anybody's life.
