Dracula (English, Paperback, Stoker Bram)
The original vampire sets out to secure a mate and unleash his horror upon the world in Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Summary of the Book
On a business trip to meet a mysterious and wealthy Count in Transylvania, Jonathan Harker’s mind constantly turns to thoughts of his lovely fiancé, Mina Murray. Harker can’t wait to get back to England and marry her, but fate has other plans for him. The Count he is visiting is an eccentric recluse who is the subject of many disturbing rumours around the castle. He meets the man, ignoring the rumours and finds that he has impeccable manners. The Count wishes to discuss purchasing property abroad, and Harker’s company deals with the real estate business. However, some of the rumours may be true after all. The man seems to insist that Harker stay in his room at all times and not wander the castle. Harker ignores him and explores the castle corridors. He runs into three seductive women who appear strangely… monstrous. The Count pulls the women away from Harker who has finally realized the situation he is in. He’s trapped in the castle, leaving is not an option. To make matters worse, all the rumours about the Count are true. However, the Count doesn’t care for Harker’s accusations. He is only interested in his thoughts, and the thoughts of the lovely Mina Murray and her best friend, Lucy Westenra. His fangs ache for the taste of fresh female blood, and his cravings, above all, cannot be stopped. For what man would stand between the original Nosferatu and his prey? What woman could refuse the seductive embrace of Count Dracula, the most powerful vampire of them all?
