ECONOMIC BOTANY, a branch of Botany, deals with the botany of different kinds of plants which are essential for wellbeing of mankind. This book has been written in simple and lucid language under Indian context to provide basic information about plants (i.e., crops) and their botanical des-cription, cultivation, processing and uses to the undergraduate science students of different universities of India. It is primarily meant to serve as a text book for the students and it attempts to provide readily information of the subject ‘Economic Botany’.
