    Very strong....even my gym equipments use aluminium carabiners this one is made out of steel and so no doubt in its strength and durability...not just trekking/hiking/climbing , it can be used in gym pulleys and much more . No springs just screw type mechanism so longevity is much better. Value for money and worth buying.
