Beautiful but hitherto neglected film

This film is a treat for cinema lovers. Needless to say, Pankaj Kapur and shabana Azmi are awesome while script and direction are simple but powerful. Its a film with strong social message, rather it holds a mirror to the society. I was searching for the film for the past five years, and I am glad that I finally found it on Flipkart.

I will just echo what everyone here already said: NFDC has done a great job of restoring the print! I don't remember the quality on DD all those years ago, but I remember loving the film back then. And on DVD, the colors were good and the audio was clear. The film itself stands the test of time, looking as real and natural today as it did back then.

It is interesting to see Dipankar Roy live in that modest home, with a typewriter and stove, which reflects how most of us grew up. Big leap fr...

Whichever tiele has Pankaj Kapoor in the cat that has to be on my shelf.
He is simply amazing, he portrayed the chahracter so well which no one else could.
Amazing direction and story.
But the sad part i never knew of this movie before I stumbled upon it on Flipkart.
A must for the collector's video library.
Very good Audio and video quality, thanks to NFDC for remastering the deserving titles ('Jaane bhi do Yaaron' also in the collection).

Very nice movie

This one is a brilliant movie. Someone recommended a long time ago. Never could get to watch it because it's really difficult to get copies of movies like these. They are obsolete but they are brilliant. Found it on Flipkart and ordered immediately. Movie was amazing. What amazing performances by Pankaj Kapur.

Flipkart delivered it timely , the packaging of the product was very good.
