He established a Master's programme in Toxicology at C.C.S. University, Meerut in 2004. He has more than 35 years of university teaching and research experience. Prof. Rana has written six textbooks on ecology and environment for University students. He specializes in environmental toxicology and has published more than 150 research papers in reputed journals.
