Dr. K. Subramanya (Late) was a retired Professor of Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He was also the Head of Civil Engineering Department at IIT Kanpur. He obtained his Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Mysore University and Masters degree from the University of Madras. Further, he obtained another Masters degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He taught at IIT Kanpur for over 30 years and has extensive teaching, research and consultancy experience in the area of Water Resources Engineering.
Dr. Priyank J. Sharma is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. He obtained his bachelors degree in civil engineering from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and his Masters degree in Water Resources Engineering from the Sardar Vallabhbhai National
Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat. Further, he obtained his PhD in Civil Engineering (Water Resources Engineering) from SVNIT Surat. He also worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Florida Atlantic University, USA. He was awarded Prof. U. C. Kothyari - ISH Best PhD Thesis Award 2020 by the Indian Society for Hydraulics. He received
an INSPIRE Fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, for his doctoral research. He was awarded the Institute Gold Medal for securing the first position in his Masters degree at SVNIT. He has authored more than sixty research publications to date, including research articles in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and several national and international conferences of repute.
