    • Dr Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of India between 2002 and 2007 and one of the most illustrious scientists of India, is the architect of indigenous development of satellite launch vehicle and strategic missiles. His strategic leadership and partnerships with other nuclear scientists enabled India to become a nuclear weapon state. Dr Apathukatha Sivathanu Pillai, an electrical engineer by profession, has 50 years of experience in the ISRO and DRDO. He was Honorary Distinguished Professor at ISRO and Distinguished Scientist and Chief Controller (R&D), DRDO.
