  • Description
His weapon is the stiletto, his codename: The Needle. He is Hitler's prize undercover agent - a cold and professional killer. It is 1944 and weeks before D-Day. The Allies are disguising their invasion plans with a phoney armada of ships and planes. Their plan would be ruined if an enemy agent found out...and then The Needle does just that. Hunted by MI5, he leads a murderous trail across Britain to a waiting U-Boat. But he hasn't planned for a storm-battered island, and the remarkable young woman who lives there. "Eye of the Needle", an international bestseller, is a heart-racingly exciting tale about the fate of the war resting in the hands of a master spy, his opponent and a brave woman. 'An absolutely terrific thriller, so pulse-pounding, so ingenious in its plotting and so frighteningly realistic that you simply cannot stop reading' - "Publishers Weekly". 'A tense, marvellously detailed suspense thriller based on a solid foundation of fact' - "Sunday Times".

    A good book. Worth reading

I will not say its the best book by Ken Follett but this is certainly a nice book. Its a story of a spy, a detective, a professor and a lady. that lady is the pillar of this novel. The novel is through out a page turner and is better than many other novels I have read.

    Absolute Read!!

This is definitely one of my favorites! In fact its in my Top 3 list for sure!

I read this book the first time when I was in my 10th standard! And this was my second book from the same author, the first one being "The Hammer of Eden".
I have grown up reading, and re-reading this book, and have loved every single page of this book, every single time I have read it!

If given an option, I would rate it at 6 Stars on a scale of 5.

    Thrilling

Thrilling spy story ... smooth flowing yet compact story-telling ... 1940's rendition of Forsyth's "Day of the Jackal" ... keeps you hooked on till the end. Surely a collector's item esp. thriller / suspense lovers.

    Awesome !!

I am an average reader who takes almost a week to finish a novel.
I am not very fond of espionage thrillers or novels based on world wars. I find them boring.

    But.........

It took me just 2 days to finish this book !
I can't wait to read other thrillers by Mr. Follett in this genre !
