  • Description

Feynman’s Lost Lecture: The Motion of Planets Around the Sun is a detailed restoration of a lecture given by Richard Feynman at the California Institute of Technology. The book was brought together from lecture notes by Caltech physicist David L. Goodstein and archivist Judith R. Goodstein.

    Summary of the Book

The Feynman Lectures on Physics are a legendary resource for all students of physics. The books have become a crucial reference to understand everything about physics, and they collect almost all the lectures given by Feynman at Caltech. However, they missed out one lecture which had not been recorded. In this book, the writers salvage written notes, pictures and everything they could find to put together this “lost lecture”. However, Feynman’s signature sketches have been unfortunately lost. Nevertheless, this treatise on the motion of planets, Kepler’s laws and the elliptical orbit of planets. This book is a vital resource for all students of astronomy and anyone interested in Feynman’s lectures.
