About the Authors
Steven Ascher is an acclaimed American independent writer, director and producer. His famous feature documentaries include the trilogy, Families in Trouble. It was co-directed with Jeanne Jordan, his wife. Ascher was nominated for an Academy Award. He has won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival among several other awards.
Edward Ralph Pincus started filmmaking in 1964, developing a direct cinema approach to depict political and social issues. He has also been an acclaimed cinematographer. Apart from this title, Pincus has compiled the book, Guide to Filmmaking.
