This book is actually very good for beginners. Its detailed and is one of the best books available for this topic. If the exercises are also done properly it will provide a very helpful insight to the subject. This book can be read independently without much help from outside. Over all, a buy TO BE CHERISHED.

This Fine Book covers Linear Algebra from the view point of Operator theory, most suited for a future plunge into Hilbert spaces and Quantum Mechanics. The Clarity of explanations and the unorthodox nature of the text make it suitable even for an enjoyable self study although a previous knowledge of linear algebra (matricial) is somewhat pertinent

This is by far the best book on linear algebra I have seen and as per my information this is classic book for this topic. The amount that I studied so far from this book, does not contain even a single sentence which was not necessary. The students who don't like rigor much and who want to learn more about applications may dislike this book but I think serious study of this book would profit immensely any student of mathematics, physics or any other subject which contains linear algebra.
