turn off the mouse manually, if not in use, otherwise it will keep on sucking your battery and a new aa battery will last only 3 days.
overall a good product and keyboard is really nice, keys are decent.....

Good product for the price. Sometimes, left ctrl stops working. And it started working again afteri applied vaccum cleaner on the keyboard. Both mouse and keyboards drains battery a little bit faster than expected. But not so fast. If keep battery removed everyday after use, you can use the same battery longer. i wish it had some builtin on/off switch. Still i'm satisfied since it is a good one for the price
