This is THE BOOK for class X Physics.
To be truthful, I find the explanation (especially for the chapter Magnetic Effect of Electric Current) more crisp and clear than NCERT.
Everyone must have this priceless (but not at all expensive) book:)

An outstanding book for Concepts and fundamentals
I had read this book in my school days. It was my passion to read many books of different authors. But ultimately this was the book which gave me complete satisfaction. What to talk about Dr. H.C Verma, he is so well known for his Concepts of Physics.

Just wow!
I am just addicted to this book. Nice concepts. Simple explanations. It goes through the concept. Those who think it is an olympiad based book like other tough and complex books like other foundation then you are wrong. It worth buying. It just clears you on the topic. It does not contain much idiotic thing like other books contain.
