Summary of the Book

Marv is in a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town. He doesn’t care, of course. The hot and arid air and the biannual downpour were only few of the many things that gave this hellhole its real name. The police are closer to paramilitary SWAT forces than beat cops and there are more criminals than victims in the city. One day, people would forget Basin City’s name and only remember the alternate moniker it wore like a second skin: Sin City. This volume begins Frank Miller’s epic creation and tells the story of Marv and his struggle to find who killed that alluring woman he once slept with in a lousy room in a lousy part of a lousy town.
