About the Author
Dr. Welty is a professor emeritus at Oregon State University, and teaches Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics.  He is a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).  His current academic research interests interests include fluidized bed heat transfer, radiation through arrays of discrete surfaces, microscale fluid mechanics and a variety of numerical heat transfer studies.
