Fundamentals of Optics  (English, Paperback, Jenkins Francis)

No doubt, it is one of the all time best book on Optics. I first studied it while at graduation. Bought this book recently from Flipkart. Their delivery was, awesome. But I think the book given to me was somewhat, old one. The pages of the book were also not that good. But I did not go for replacement , since, its not that bad. There are, other books in the market, like Ajoy Ghatak and Others like Hecht Eugene, etc. But, this book gives you the finer points while learning,optics, especially t...

The book's mainly intended for a history backed study of Optics rather than focusing on the actual mathematical rigour. It's not useful for a undergraduate course in Physics regarding the topic of Physical Optics from my perspective, it's better to go with either Ghatak or Hecht.

The textbook has some errors that are enough to cause a heart attack. You can see it in one of the photos I've attached.
