I started to learn german and was almost intimidated by so many grammatical rules until I came across this book in an airport shop. This book helped me clarify many doubts especially comparisions with English language, it held good interest, exercises are interesting. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to have right fundamentals in german language.

Good book but read like only once

This book will only teach you the introduction part. After reading it does not meant that you could speak fluent German but yes good for beginners and also best for someone how is going to GERMANY....
Best wishes with the book Called "German for Dummies" i will prefer read at least once

Worth it !

Was looking for easy to use and easy to learn stuffs .
Came through a few ones .
This is one "as simple as it canbe" book .
Hardly went through the book till now .
But its neat and properly designed and planned stuff .
Yet to try out the CD contents .

Really awesome

This is really helpful to refresh your memories in a best possible way. Since I mentioned refresh, that means it won't be so effective for somebody who is totally started afresh.

Each chapter is very well organized and very much lucid. It is the organization, that makes it standout. I found reading this as a story to bring information from hard disk to RAM.

Simply Superb..

I din't know about dummies publications before purchasing this book...it is really worth buying. People interested in learning German language should have a copy. I purchased it from Flipkart. Good Service, but definitely needs better packing.

Couldn't have been better!

I was actually looking for a dictionary as I thought ebook was enough. When I found this book - mini dictionary, lessons and an audio cd; then said to myself, Why Not?
Awesome methodology. Holds interest. and Teaches at good pace.

instead of joining 3k/month german classes this book is all you need, its enough to survive Germany. A must for engineering students as many german companies are impressed with students who know german.
