The Karate Mouse, is the fortieth installment in the hugely popular children’s series Geronimo Stilton. Geronimo Stilton, is the pseudonym used author Elisabetta Dami, who is the star of this hugely popular children’s adventure series for kids aged 6 to 12 years of age.

Geronimo Stilton, is a journalist by trade, the editor in chief for The Rodent’s Gazette, and the protagonist of The Karate Mouse. He lives in New Mouse City located on Mouse Island. Geronimo is characterized as an introverted, nervous, and mild mannered mouse who prefers leading a quiet and undisturbed life. It is the other mice in his life such as his sister Thea, and friends Benjamin, and Trap, who keep dragging him into solving mysteries.

In this particular story, Geronimo is coerced into joining the World Karate Championship by his exuberant friends. Geronimo, along with his friend Bruce Hyena and his cousin, Piccolo Tao, trains to get ready for the fight with their help. The shy and quiet Geronimo has just one week to prepare for his fight. What happens next? Will Geronimo go ahead with the fight?
