A mandolin (Italian: mandolino pronounced [mando?li?no]; literally "small mandola") is a stringed musical instrument in the lute family and is usually plucked with a plectrum or "pick". It commonly has four courses of doubled metal strings tuned in unison (8 strings), although five (10 strings) and six (12 strings) course versions also exist. The courses are normally tuned in a succession of perfect fifths. It is the soprano member of a family that includes the mandola, octave mandolin, mandocello and mandobass.

Packaging was good. Mandolin was in good condition. There was no plectrum. Bag came with mandolin was poor, could be better in quality.

Very Good
Just yesterday arrived this mandolin and I found it brand new and glossy finish. It's amazing. Sound is clear. Everything intact. One thing I don't understood is why on earth seller did not provide plectrums with the instrument. Fret finishing also need to be more keenly taken care of. Besides, overall impression Is good. Satisfied. Seller provides instrument and cover bag only. Packing is also good.
