Forensic science has progressed leaps and bound in the 20th Century. The knowledge of Forensic Science has spread among all the wings of criminal justice system and public at large, all over the world. It has led to attain faith and reliance by the criminal justice system in the world in scientific evidence that oral testimony for obvious reasons. The various scientific disciplines have contributed a lot to the justice delivery system in one form or the other. The introduction to scientific evidence on hand facilitated the working of the courts, prosecutors and the defence, however, on the other hand it has created difficulties of the understanding of scientific terms and terminology by the persons connected with the justice deliver system, who are not always from the scientific background. The present work in the form of "A Glossary of Forensic Science" has been written keeping in view that persons from non-scientific background can understand forensic science in a better way, when this book comes to their hands. It is believed that this book shall serve as a ready reference and guide to the Hon'able Courts, Prosecutors, Defence attorneys, Crime investigators, the students of forensic science and the common man.
