1.Terminalia arjuna –Terminalia arjuna is a tree . It is commonly known as arjuna, Native to India, the tree attracts lot of attention because of its association with mythology and its many uses. Arjuna is a large, evergreen tree, with a spreading crown and drooping branches. Grows up to 25 m height, and the bark is grey and smooth. 2.OTHER NAMES : arjun tree in English , thella maddi in Telugu, kumbuk in Sinhala, marudha maram in Tamil and neer maruthu in Malayalam. Hole Matthi in Kannada. 3.Flowering time of the tree is April-July, in Indian conditions 4.PRETREATMENT OF THE SEEDS : Soak the seeds in cool water for 48 hours 5.NURSERY TECHNIQUE : The pretreated seeds are put in polythene bags with half of the seeds above the soil. The germination of the seeds in 8 to 12 days. 6.GERMINATION PERCENTAGE : 90 %
