Pusa jwala is the most popular hot pepper grown all over India and used in most popular spicy foods in India. This long thin wrinkled chilli which ripen from light-green to red when ripe. It is a 90cm (3ft) tall plant and a prolific producer of hot, 7-13cm (3-5in) long thin wrinkled peppers which ripen from lime green to orange and then to red in about 85 days. This plant will continuously produce chilli for 5/6 months each year. With a proper care in frosty time this will survive up to 3 years. Sowing instructions : Choose a sunny, sheltered site with well-drained, fertile soil. Add a general-purpose fertiliser before planting.Grow in 23cm (9in) pots filled with compost or in grow bags with a maximum of 3 per bag.Sow two seeds in a compost-filled peat pot - remove the weaker seedling once they have both emerged.Support once the stems grow tall enough.Fruitinh starts in45-60 days .Pick as required.
