Shri Narayan Bhakthji has been interested in journalism, writing and reading and writing on children's literature. His first work appeared in Patna City High School magazine in 1951. Many children stories, biographies of great men, appeared in the magazine 'Balasakha' in a ceremonial form. In 1981, he acted as an Indian journalist in the international film 'Gandhi' of Attenboroughs. He was also conferred with the honorary title of 'Sahityamani' in 1979 and 'Kaumudi Samman' in 1990. He was honoured by Indian Institute of Welfare on 21st February 1993 in Kanpur. He was also honoured by the 'Navrang Lalit Kala Kendra' in Patna on July 18, 1996, for his remarkable work in the field of journalism and for the service of literature by Vigyan-Gyan Niketan Dadhpatna City on July 10, 1997.
