Summary of the Book

Harry Potter's dreams are still haunted by the events of the last book. He scans the newspapers religiously for signs of chaos, and finds none. Why isn't the world burning, he asks himself. A good question since Lord Voldemort was alive and well again. But both the Wizarding and the Muggle newspapers have no information about any suspicious activity, something Harry can't understand. When he is whisked away to a tiny house at Number 12 Grimmauld Place to join the ranks of a group of people known as the Order of the Phoenix he believes he will get answers. Unfortunately that is not what Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the leader of the Order of the Phoenix, has decided. This year Harry is to behave as an ordinary student, attend regular classes and follow instructions. On top of this he will be privileged to attend extra classes, courtesy of Severus Snape, someone who Harry still has problems trusting. Why is Albus Dumbledore not speaking to Harry?
