Ever wished you could learn C from a book? Head First C provides a complete learning experience for C and structured imperative programming. With a unique method that goes beyond syntax and how-to manuals, this guide not only teaches you the language, it helps you understand how to be a great programmer. You'll learn key areas such as language basics, pointers and pointer arithmetic, and dynamic memory management. Advanced topics include multi-threading and network programming topics typically covered on a college-level course.

This book also features labs: in-depth projects intended to stretch your abilities, test your new skills, and build confidence. Head First C mimics the style of college-level C courses, making it ideal as an accessible textbook for students.

We think your time is too valuable to waste struggling with new concepts. Using the latest research in cognitive science and learning theory to craft a multi-sensory learning experience, Head First C uses a visually rich format designed for the way your brain works, not a text-heavy approach that puts you to sleep.

    About the Authors

She went on to pursue a career in software development, and has over 15 years experience working in the IT industry. Dawn has written several books, including Head First C, Head First Statistics and Head First 2D Geometry.

    Creative and interesting.

This is one of those books which are creative and interesting , unlike other books which go through topics in hurry and in most confusing manner. This book is different from other books in the way it presents the contents. In simple words its Fun book for learning C language. This book does not have colored pages as its economy version.

As usual flipkart delivery was on time and in perfect condition.

    A Novel Approach but Incomprehensive!

The book takes a totally different path in describing the C language. It doesn't follow the mundane flow...
    Intro>>Keywords>>Operators>>ControlStructures>>Arrays>>Strings>>Functions>>Structures>>Pointers>>FIleIO... that most books use.
It surprises the reader by putting in functions & pointers in the first chapter, & keeps surprising. Illustrations, puzzles & exercises keep you interested. I haven't read it completely but its the first C book that is keeping me hooked like a thrilling myster...

    Excellent aesthetics

A well organised and visually tricks delivering book, rather I'd like to say, a good C 'companion'. I am impressed, while it's my first 'Head first' series, to be honest, a 'unique' method to learn C. I don't know if it helps to a beginner having no idea of programming. By the way, the 'Bible' is full of arrows, doing quite ginormous job. An excellent aesthetics is maintained all over the book.

Feel free to buy it, for good English, to hack C.

Bit advanced Topic such as OpenCV and GUI, nic...
