Nice one for SCWCD

Seems like its the only trusted book for SCWCD. You'll enjoy the way Kathy and Bates have put in the things; equally entertaining compared to SCJP.

-ve point is it doesn't cover Servlet 3.0 specification.

Brain friendly - as advertised.

This book is a gem. Indeed it goes to a great extent in explaining even the simplest of things - but its worth your money. Even if one is not preparing for SCWCD, it'll be an eye opener even for experienced web application developers. If you've read any book from the Head First series, you'd know that they are not the conventional text-only boring books. This one's worth keeping in your collection.

Pros : Well explained concepts of Servlet and JSP, including JSTL and custom Tags. Good for beginners and experienced people. Flipkart's delivery is right on time, I got the package in 2 days.

best ever for servlet and JSP

I think this book should be read by all programmers who want to be web developer using servlet and JSP.
by it, a deep knowledge on JSP and servlet you can get. a programmer need to know deeply about his/her preferred language. for JSP and SERVLET i always like to prefer first this book. it increases the knowledge level from 0% to almost 99.99% on Servlet and JSP.
