  • Description

The Mark of Athena is the third book in the pentalogy of young-adult fiction novels, Heroes of Olympus, written by Rick Riordan.

    Summary of the Book

This novel begins from where The Son of Neptune had left off. It follows the alternating Greek demigods: Annabeth Chase, Leo Valdez, Piper McLean, and Percy Jackson; and the Roman Demigods: Jason Grace, Hazel Levesque, and Frank Zhang. Annabeth is about to be reunited with Percy, but she is terrified as it look like Camp Jupiter is preparing for war. She cannot blame the Roman demigods for thinking their ship as a Greek weapon. All she can do is hope that Jason’s appearance on the deck will reassure the Romans that the Camp Half-Blood visitors are coming in peace. But her biggest fear of all is the thought that Percy might have changed and is more attached to Roman ways. Does Percy make her fear come true?

    Definitely a page turner

Rick Riordan has done a great job yet again. The book is bulky but it wouldn't be any fun if it wasn't. Some chapters a short but awesome. There are many fights and Annabeth goes of a solo quest to retrieve the statue of her mother by following the mark of Athena. The climax Annabeth and Percy fall into the Tartarus and the book ends.
