A:It operates on a AA battery and it gets over with time but gives a backup of about 6mnths in a single battery, but it is not rechargeable so you need to buy a new one once it has been drained out

A:No. I am using HP laptop. And I tried to connect the mouse by switching on Bluetooth option for the laptop. But it could not discover the mouse.
