A must read for a Marketer!!
Anyone out there interested in Marketing must read this one. The story is set in 1980's but it is still relevant in current time.e Some of the scenarios he has described are amazing. The book contains his haydays at Ford and then the tough time at Chrysler. The organization restructuring is well described. Its a fun read. The book never bores you! Thumps up for Mr.Iacocca. You really inspire a lot!

The CEO who knows how to write an awesome book
This book is about the life and times of Iacocca, the man who transformed Ford and Chrysler. There are some good life and career lessons interspersed in the book. If you are beginning to read this book, look for the "man", his corporate journey and his emotions, rather than for some "management tips".

Disappointing
Lee Iacocca is credited with raising Chrysler back from the dead after he was fired from Ford. When I started this book, I was hoping to read about something radical and different that helped him work his miracle, but what he did was poach a lot of people from Ford, cut costs at Chrysler, take a loan from the bank and get the US government to underwrite it and negotiated with the worker’s union for better terms. Interesting in parts...
Iacocca is a legend, He had a very successful run at Ford and then turned Cheverolet from an industry laggard, to a money minting machine. No mean task. But he does meanders around a bit.Being fired from Ford and took a very personal toll, and Iacocca was very bitter and blames Henry Ford for his incompetence.
