This book explores the impact of credit system in Agriculture sector, particularly in borrower classes. A majority of the borrowers had one or more problems on the credit delivery system. Such problems could be grouped broadly under two categories, viz., during and after obtaining loans. Problems in obtaining loans included complicated procedures, lack of previous experience, distant location of the bank, and bribe. The analysis carried out in this book has clearly brought out the fact that in agricultural credit there are two classes of borrowers. One class, which has smaller land holdings, lesser capital equipment and is at the lower end of economic prosperity. This cooperative borrower class mainly comprises the small and marginal farmers. The other class which emerges is basically the capitalist farmer who takes up farming on a commercial basis. This class is more sophisticated having larger land holdings and higher amounts of capital equipment. All the articles in this book are research oriented and give insight to the concept of Federalism.
