| Author Info | - K. Venkata Reddy is at present Professor of English and Principal at Sri Krishnadevaraya University. He has published widely in different journals in India and contributed to international journals like World Literature Written in English and Journal of South Asian Literature. His other publications include Major Indian Novelists (1991), Ben Jonson : His Dramatic Art (1994), Critical Studies in Commonwealth Literature (1994), M.V. Rama Sarma : His Mind and Art (1995), New Directions in Higher Education in India (1996) and Changing Attitudes to Education in India (1998). He has edited Ben Jonson’s The Silent Woman and Bartholomew Fair under Macmillan Annotated Classics. He has travelled widely, visiting countries like Nepal, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and USA to participate in International Conferences. His papers presented at the Fifth World Shakespeare Congress in Tokyo (1991) and International Conference on Shakespeare in Washington (1997) were well received.
Prof. P.B. Reddy had his education at Sri Venkatesware University, Tirupati, India. His two books — The Plays of Asif Currimbhoy & Studies in Indian Writing in English — have already won reputation for him in the world of scholarship. His articles have appeared in several scholarly journals including The Journal of Indian Writing in English, Litterit, Ariel and The Modern Review. Prof. Reddy visited the Universities of Iowa, Texas and Toronto as a Senior Fulbright Fellow. He is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Iowa, U.S.A. He teaches English Language and Literature at the Department of English, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur, India.
