To his surprise, he gets hired and together Philippe and Driss embark on a journey that opens his mind to modern art, opera and art. Philippe treats Driss as an equal and they help each other put in order the affairs of their private life. Driss tries to help Philippe meet a woman called Eleonore, with whom he has been writing letters over a long period of time. Philippe is scared to meet her as he has not yet told her about his condition.
