Combustion began with this book
The most easy to understand and conceptual book. I use this for understanding certain concepts of Laminar premixed flames for my project in IIT Bombay. Detonation chapter is very good. This book is a must for combustion concepts.

Excellent Book
Any one who really wants to understand the fundamentals of combustion should read this book. In university I am in "Iowa State University USA" , this is used as a textbook for course of "Advance Combustion". Problems are good and the examples are related to application in IC engines, Heat exchanger, gas turbine etc..Not very costly..good print..
