Dr. M. G. Venkateshmurthy presently works as the Principal of Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan, Karnataka. He has authored academic textbooks and reference books related to his field, namely Programming Techniques Through C: A Beginners Companion.

Dr. M. G. Venkateshmurthy completed a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mysore. Subsequently, he completed his M.Tech. in Computer Technology from IIT, Delhi and went on to obtain a Doctorate in Computer Science from Anna University, Chennai. His was the former Dean at the University of Mysore’s Faculty of Engineering. An active academician, he is considered an expert on curriculum development bodies by various universities. He also holds the positions of Dean as well as member of the academic senate, at the Visveswaraya Technological University, Karnataka. His areas of expertise pertain to Programming Languages, Image cryptography, Artificial Intelligence, and Operating Systems.
