About Erwin Kreyszig

Erwin Kreyszig was a professor and mathematician. Introduction to Differential Geometry and Riemannian Geometry, and Advanced Engineering Mathematics are also written by this author.

Erwin Kreyszig was born in Pirna, Germany in 1922. He studied at the University of Darmstadt for his Ph.D. He then held research positions at universities in Germany, then moved to America. He has worked at various universities like Ohio State University and Stanford University. He also held positions at the University of Dusseldorf and the University of Windsor. He later joined the Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, and was the Professor of Mathematics at that university. He is recognized for his pioneering work in applied mathematics.
