Author Info

Mr. Murtaza Ahmed works as an Assistant Professor in the discipline of Political Science in the Department of Higher Education, Jammu & Kashmir UT. He is currently posted at Shri Krishan Chander Government Degree College, Poonch. He hails from a border village in District Poonch, J & K. After completing his basic and Secondary Education in his native place, he obtained his BA from Karishan Chander College (Erstwhile GDC) Poonch in 2009. He completed his PG from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in 2011 and pursued his B.Ed from the University of Kashmir. Mr. Murtaza Ahmed has qualified both NET conducted by UGC and JKSET conducted by Kashmir University. He has one and a half years of teaching experience as PGT, Political Science in Kendriya Vidhalya No.1 Gandhi Nagar Jammu, and two and a half years of teaching experience as a general line teacher in the Department of School Education, J&K. He was selected as an Assistant Professor by Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission and appointed in the Higher Education Department, J&K, in 2017. He is the author of a book titled "Political Science" and has also published many research papers and participated in numerous National and International Conferences and Seminars. Being a columnist, he has written many articles on social issues for newspapers. Besides his formal teaching and research activities, he also holds many other responsibilities in the department and strives for the service of the nation.
