Summary of the Book

When Madame Xanadu forsees a terrible event, she turns to those she believes must rise up to meet it. For this purpose, she enlists Zatanna, Shade the Changing Man, John Constantine, and Deadman. With these mighty magicians in tow, she hopes to fight the evil which Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman will be useless against. Peter Milligan is a British comic book writer and TV and movie script writer. He is best known for his work with DC Comics on Shade, the Changing Man, Grant Morrison's Animal Man, and Detective Comics in 1990-1991. He also sparked the idea which led to the creation of Azrael during the Batman: Knightfall storyline.
