Dr. A.P.J.M. Nazema Maraikayar holds a deeply personal connection to the subject of her book, ‘Kalam’s Family Tree.’ As the niece of the late Dr. A.PJ. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, she witnessed firsthand the profound influence of family and heritage on her renowned uncle’s life.
She holds a doctorate in Islamic studies and Tamil literature and is an author and publisher. She has also co-authored the book ‘Dr. A.PJ. Abdul Kalam: Memories Never Die’.
Dr. Nazema Maraikayar serves as the Director of the Dr. A.PJ. Abdul Kalam Mission of Life Gallery, an institution dedicated to honoring Kalam’s vision and inspiring future generations. Additionally, she is the Managing Trustee of the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam International Foundation, further underscoring her devotion to uphold Kalam's ideals and contributions.
Supriya Srinivasan is an engineer, writer and translator. She has published books on philosophy, science, politics and culture, with many more in the process. Her translations include her Tamil translation of ‘Scientific Indian’ by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Dr. Y.S. Rajan, and her English translation of Kalam's life story titled ‘Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam: Memories Never Die.’ She contributes as a writer and translator to the niche online journal ‘Prekshaa’ (www.prekshaa.in). Currently, she is pursuing higher studies in Sanskrit.
