  • Description

Enter the jungle and be enthralled by the ferocity and terror of the animals of India in this first volume of The Kenneth Anderson Omnibus.

    Summary of the Book

Kenneth Anderson’s love for the jungle and its creatures is legendary. In this collection, he reveals some of the most terrifying creatures of the jungle and their tribulations with mankind and its actions.

    Tales From The Indian Jungle

In this collection, Anderson presents eight stories of the Indian jungle. He speaks of colourful creatures like the Sambar stag, the spotted deer, the Bengal Tiger and a dark-skinned panther.

    Man-Eaters and Jungle Killers

Anderson presents eight more stories of the Indian jungle and the ferocious man-eaters that have ravaged mankind. He presents the stories of big cats and other wild animals so unforgettable that their names have the power to terrify even today. Among these stories are the tales of The Ramapuram Tiger, The Sangam Panther and The Mamandur Man-Eater. However, perhaps Anderson’s most difficult kill might not even be a carnivore.

    The Call of the Man-Eater

In these eight tales, Anderson describes how uneducated villagers could imagine the animals in the shadows to be demons and ghosts. He presents both terrifying and heart-warming accounts of humans and their association with animals.

    About Kenneth Anderson

    The Kenneth Anderson Omnibus

I read both volumes - volume 1 & 2. The Anderson has the knack of gripping story telling transfering us to 1920s and 30s. Envy his world full of flora and fauna where we see only concrete jungles at present times.

The author is in very familiar landscape of Southern India and his narrative is captivating and very informative. Please ask your teenagers to read to understand the greatness of our nature.

    Kenneth Anderson Rocks!

I have all the books written by Kenneth Anderson. Before starting Kenneth's books i read Jim Corbett's. In many blogs i saw people appreciating JIM as the best. This is wrong! Jim and Kenneth are unique in their own ways. Please stop comparing them. They are equally outstanding in their own ways.

Kenneth has never failed to divert the attention in his man eating Tiger/Leopard stories. This book is a great collection of 3 Books and all the stories are thrilling. You can build the place/enviro...

Thanks to Rupa, Flipkart and Mr Anderson

(Applies to both vol 1 & 2) Thanks to Rupa Publications for these gems. Each book of 700 plus pages is surprisingly light-weight, you can easily carry 2 or 3 of them for travel. The binding is so good and flexible for bedtime reading or travel. The font is big and clear for computer-strained eyes. Just a few typos here and there. The print from the backside is visible on some pages but that is not at all a problem considering the overall quality of the book. I am tired of writing to publisher...

    Great Book on Hunting

When I read Great Jim Corbett books on Maneaters and Indian Jungles in Kumaun and Gadhwal region like 'Man Eaters of Kumaun' and 'Jungle Lore' is just awesome to read. Being a son of a forest officer I'm fond of nature by birth.
I rate Corbett's book as No. one on Indian Wildlife, his way of writing, describing the events and details of hunting and stalking the man eaters.
I heard about Keneth Anderson just 3 years back but the way he describe the hunting details is just Amazing. I first re...
