Khel Mandala  (VCD Marathi)

With the delicate father - daughter relationship at the centre, the tale gyrates along the life of the son of a poor puppeteer - 'Dasu'. His zest for the city of Mumbai brings him to the city with his dreams to grow rich. However all his dreams get shattered with the harsh realities of life. Soon as he begins to settle in, he finds an abandoned girl child. He takes up the responsibility to nurture the baby but soon realizes that she is blind, deaf and thus mute! Dasu's destiny then keeps on taking swings while he manages to raise her within his own means. Towards the end, the story is delicately interwoven in an extraordinary, enthralling sequence that presents a spellbinding experience.

Directors Note
All of us must have read, heard and watched lot of stories portraying mother and child relations. This relationship that is undoubtedly pristine has been glorified by many over the years.

Father's passion is one thing that has been seldom spoken about. However, we could unanimously conclude that this surely doesn't mean that it is second to any other relationship in the world.

Through 'Khel Mandala', it is my honest attempt to throw light on one such fanatical relationship through the medium of emotional, heart-warming story.
