There are two ways to write a book- the first is to plan the book, from the first page to the last. The second way, is to let the pages form as you go on with your daily life. This collection of poems, rather stories in the form of poems took shape when the poet and the photographer duo had chugged away cheap beer an entire evening, in search of the perfect story, only to understand that there are stories in abundance around them, which need to be told. Stories which are forgotten and yearn to be heard. Even as you are trying to decipher the photos and the stories behind the words, this duo is probably sauntering on some lost street, trying to listen and see the story it has to tell.

Aritra Chakrabarty: He seems like your typical boring research person who has struggled his way up the ladder in the development sector. Based out of Mumbai, by the day Aritra assists various development organizations in developing their research processes. By the evening, he is lost in a forgotten world, wandering with his favourite photographer searching for journeys that nobody speaks off. A Charles Bukowski and Manto follower, he is trying to put words to pauses and silences, whenever possible.
Ishan Choudhary: When he isn’t chugging beer or marveling on food at a local diner, you will find this former journalist wandering through the streets of Mumbai with the poet in search of stories that many would like to think of as mundane or forgotten. Armed with nothing more than a simple mobile phone camera and his intent, Ishan looks to capture moments, people, food or places in a manner that nobody would think of while looking at them.
