Summary Of The Book

Geronimo, on a trip to the attic stumbles across a music box and within that box, he finds a letter. Upon trying to read the strange language that the letter was inscribed in, he winds up on a dizzying path where he finds a mysterious staircase in his attic. The golden staircase leads to a golden door that open up into the Kingdom of Fantasy.

He makes his way into the door and learned the true message of the letter as is transcribed to him by the unfamiliar creature, Scriblehopper. The queen of fairies is in immediate need of his assistance but he can only help her if he set out on a journey across seven kingdoms. The brave Geronimo starts this tedious journey and makes several friends who are well wishers of the fairy queen and her followers.

Geronimo has to battle the evil forces of Cackle, the queen of the witches, who employs the services of various creatures to defeat the fairies. However who is a match for the brave and heroic Geronimo? He fights scorpions, sea serpents and witches with his penchant for beating the odds.

An excited Stilton recounts the amazing sights he sees and jots down the perils he had to face to survive, once he gets back to his comfortable study. Geronimo Stilton is the pseudonym used by Elisabetta Dami who is an Italian writer of children’s books. Other books written by her include Lost Treasure of the Emerald Eye, Merry Christmas, Geronimo!, A Cheese-colored Camper, The Coliseum Con, The Discovery of America, Who Stole the Mona Lisa?, and many other books.

Elisabetta Dami  grew up in Italy where she started her foray into literature in her family’s publishing house as a proofreader. She then went on to write children’s books at the age of 19.
